You know you’ve left Seoul when subway stops no longer have anti-suicide screens. I always feel a bit happier then, knowing I’m at least a wee bit closer to the better life (more trees, less people).

In some restaurants –usually the busier ones– you get a piece of paper listing all the dishes they serve. You mark the dishes you want on that piece of paper, and hand it to the waiter. Fun stuff.

And I do mean oversized.

I (finally) received my 50mm “m42″ lens today from Russia. It’s an older, smaller lens (the M42 is the kind of mounting system the lens uses – you simply screw the lens in, basically, no click-lock systems or anything). I’ll be using this lens for my new FrankenCamera test, but I also bought a mount for my EOS so I can use this lens on it as-well.

I shot a few quick snaps with it before/during lunch, just to get a feel of what this lens can do. For it’s price, the results are simply stunning I’d say. There is no auto-focus, and the focus ring is a tad slow, but I’m liking the results quite a bit.

Note that most of these photos are pretty much unprocessed.
